FLAMLAC
A high solid, two pack material of alkyd and amino resins which, when catalysed,
will cold cure to give a tough resilient film, giving good heat, alcohol
and water resistance. Flamlac, when used on Class 1 and Class 0 rated surfaces,
will maintain the Class 1 and Class 0 rating. Approved for severe use to
FIRA standard 6250: 1999.
Flame retardant acid catalysed lacquers will not upgrade timber
or veneered timber boards to Class 1 and Class 0. For application
to veneered fire boards, where a clear finish is required, treat
veneer with Flamsol flame retardant solution prior to application
of Flamlac. Where timber or timber boards require upgrading to
Class 1 and Class 0, use Bollom’s Intuclear, Intulac or
Broflame intumescent coatings.
